New and improved Glint Microsoft Teams feature coming in 2023. Glint is always seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our existing solutions. The current integration between Glint & Microsoft Teams was released as a sideloaded application, which unfortunately limits our ability to maximize its benefits. On January 21st, 2023, Glint will be disabling the ability for additional customers to turn on the Teams integration until we can rebuild it as a first-party Microsoft Application in 2023. Clients already using the integration can continue to incorporate it in their Glint programming. Anyone looking to add this functionality can look forward to a more streamlined experience next year.
Q: If I have configured translations for survey notifications, will those translations work in Teams?
A: Yes, translated content will be honored in Teams. Users will receive the same content that they receive in survey notification emails.
Q: Will the Glint Microsoft Teams Application work for Employee Lifecycle surveys or On-Demand surveys?
A: Yes, it works with all Glint Engagement survey programs. Once installed, it will be turned on by default for all existing and new programs. Edits are made inside program configuration, on the Communications setup page. This application is not compatible with 360 Feedback or Anytime Feedback and Recognition.
Q: What information does Glint access to enable the Glint Microsoft Teams application?
A: Glint uses the leader’s Team’s email ID to map them to the correct Glint email ID. They must match in order for Glint Microsoft Teams to work.
The Glint Microsoft Teams Application also leverages the aadID and tenantID to ensure we are sending the notifications to the right tenant, which are properties available to all installed Microsoft Teams applications.
Q: Do dashboard reports populate on the Teams app, or is all data still hosted only on the Glint platform?
A: All data is still hosted only on the Glint platform. No engagement score data is sent through the Microsoft Teams app.
Q: We currently manage SSO through our active directory. Is this the same process with the Teams app?
A: There are no changes to SSO because of the Glint Microsoft Teams app. We leverage your existing login as the notifications send users to the Glint platform.
